Bio/Resume

An enthusiastic library professional with almost 30 years server libraries. Specializing in expanding the use of new and traditional technologies to best server library users.

I have spent the last 29 years serving libraries: public, academic, and special, in technical, non-technical and leadership roles. I started my career within the Lubbock Public library circulation department and transitioned to serve as their SirsiDynix Unicorn (Symphony) systems administrator and Information Technology Manager, a position I held for 10 years. I then moved to the Texas Tech University Libraries to supervise the staff IT Support desk. After spending 5 years serving as Lead Educator for ByWater Solutions I accepted a roll as Manager of Digitization Project with the Houston Area Library Network.

I was then drawn back to library systems and the open source community and accepted the position of Librarian Supervisor (Systems Librarian) with the McKinney Public Library. I have most recently been serving as the Branch Manager of the Roy and Helen Hall Library within the McKinney Public Library System.

Having worked in a variety of positions ranging from circulation, reference, systems administration, training staff, IT support, and management, I have experience with many, if not all aspects of the library. This experience allows me to see issues from a variety of viewpoints.

On and off throughout my library carrier I have worked within the retail world. This has given be a unique perspective on libraries as well as allowing me to hone my sales skills.

I Currently serve as Branch Manager of the Roy and Helen Hall Library with the McKinney Public Library where I lead the emerging Systems Team. I also serve on the Library Leadership Team and have facilitated teams for the library and other City of McKinney departments.

RPG Projects

Welcome to my realm of imagination and adventure, where the rolling of dice shapes destinies and the stories we create together linger in memory long after the game ends. Dive into the rugged and untamed Lot Lands, inspired by Jonathan French's captivating novel "The Grey Bastards."

Or, step into the shadowy corners of the 1930s Hollywood, a time echoing with the sounds of jazz and the clinking of whiskey glasses, for a gritty noir mystery that's as deep and complex as the era itself.
